Picture
Having a balanced diet helps you stay healthy. In order for a person to stay healthy, he/she must eat the right amounts of nutrients the body needs. Eating too little causes weight loss, poor growth, and sometimes even death; eating too much brings many illnesses people may not realize. When excessive carbohydrates are taken into the body, all extra energy is stored as fat. This then increases the risks of developing high blood pressure, heart disease, and other chronic diseases.

It may seem that diets help a person feel better about themselves. However, they may not know that a balanced diet is a really good way to stay healthy.
Now, how much is a person supposed to eat? Take this advise; when buying a granola bar, cereal, or any type of food, look at the food label. Such label will explain how many of each nutrient that type of food contains.
